Theological Education:
Fifteen Pastors shall go for certificate courses every year (Within South Sudan, possibly in St, Mark College or St. John College or African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM) College in Lietnhom).
Five Pastors shall go for Diploma Courses every year. (Within and outside South Sudan) possibly in Yei where Open Doors and ALARM have already established training centres, Bishop Alison Bible College (which is in Northern Uganda and is now in the process of being moved to Yei) Bishop Gwynne University in Juba,St.John’s Theology College in Wau and other Bible Colleges in Kenya and Uganda.
Three (3) Clergymen/women shall go for Degree Courses every year. (Within and outside South Sudan) possibly at St Paul’s University Limuru Kenya, Uganda Christian College Makono, and other Christian Universities in East Africa and other parties of the World.
Two Clergymen/women shall go for Masters Degree Courses after every two years and one Clergyman/woman to go for PHD after every four years.
Theological Education by Extension (TEE):
We shall establish at least one Theological Education by Extension Programme in each of the seven (7) Archdeaconries of Gogrial Diocese. This programme will be used to build the capacity of pastors with no basic theological education. Those who pass this programme will now be admitted at the certificate level. This programme will be done in both English and other local languages including Arabic and Dinka.
Conferences/Workshops:
We will also encourage Pastors Conferences and Workshops which will bring many Pastors together from different parts of the Diocese which will be done periodically and addresses some topical issues such as Gender and HIV & AIDS.
Adult Education:
We will endeavor to establish at one adult education centre in each of the seven (7) Archdeaconries of Gogrial Diocese. Some of the pastors and other church and community members with the lowest or no formal education will be given the opportunity to do so through adult education. This is to help the beneficiaries to learn Dinka, Basic English and Arithmetic. After completing this programme those who want to serve as pastors in the church will be sent to the Bible School for further training. And those who do not want to be pastors will be trained on other skills such masonry, carpentry etc.
Vocational Training Centre:
The Diocese of Gogrial has established St. Mark College of vocational training with collaboration with the State Government and other Organizations. This College will be used for the training of teachers, Community Health Workers, secretarial staff, accountants, computer professionals and other skills such as carpentry, masonry etc.
Sponsorship:
Apart from Theological Training which will target mainly pastors other training in other skills such as financial management, Education etc. will be provided to the other church members. This programme will target particularly the young people from Gogrial Diocese who are now finishing their Secondary schools in South Sudan and the neighboring countries in East Africa, Kenya and Uganda and are not able to join the Universities due to lack of finances.
Primary and Secondary Education:
The Diocese of Gogrial is established primary schools in every each Archdeaconry and will endeavor to establish at least one Secondary School in each of its seven (7) Archdeaconries.
